CLASSICAL TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA COMPLEX THERAPY

Abstract

Estimate the efficiency of using L-Lysine Aescinat preparation in classical trigeminal neuralgia (TN) complex therapy. 38 patients with classical TN were examined. The number of male patients was 6, and the number of female patients was 32. All the patients were divided into two groups. The first group consisted of 17 patients taking L-Lysine Aescinat in the course of conventional complex therapy. The second group consisted of 21 patients receiving conventional complex therapy without taking L-Lysine Aescinat. Revealed statistically significant decrease of indicators such as the degree of pain to the visual analogue scale (VAS), pain episodes, severity of trigeminal pain syndrome Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in the compared groups. The introduction of L-Lysine Aescinat into classical trigeminal neuralgia (TN) complex therapy statistically reduces the frequency of pain episodes and improves indices such as pain severity and BNI score.
