Issue: 2026, No. 4 Modern medicine requires continuous improvement in approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. Technological advances open up new opportunities for phlebologists and vascular surgeons in patient care, but simultaneously increase the demands on the quality of care provided. Achieving optimal results in the treatment of venous and arterial pathologies requires a systematic approach to methods improvement, utilizing best practices from different centers, and creating uniform safety criteria. What mechanisms allow for the standardization of surgical techniques, how the effectiveness and safety of interventions are assessed, what conditions contribute to the development of side effects, and where the greatest potential for optimization lies – these issues are being actively discussed by the professional community and require a systematic analysis of accumulated experience. This special issue of the journal covers a range of particular concerns to leading phlebologists and vascular surgeons. The editors invite authors to submit research papers in the following areas:
