TRACHEOSTOMY - UNCONDITIONAL NECESSITY OR INDIVIDUAL CHOICE IN SURGICAL TREATMENT OF EXTENSIVE CELLULITES HEAD AND NECK?

Abstract

Analysis of the results provide adequate breathing in the surgical treatment of 50 patients with extensive purulent-inflammatory processes in the area of the head and neck. Describes the rational management, which allows to reduce considerably the number of tracheostomy in these patients through the extensive use of intraoperative bronchoscopy. Tracheostomy is made by the authors of the 7 patients (14%), and the 4 - after intubation of the trachea under the control of the bronchoscopy.
