Planned: 2025, No. 1 Protection of children’s health has been defined as a priority goal in the healthcare system of the Russian Federation. The Healthcare national project is aimed at strengthening preventive measures aimed at preserving the health of younger generations. According to contemporary views, Preventive Pediatrics is a branch of medicine that focuses not only on health supervision of the fetus, newborn child, and younger generation as a whole, but also on the promotion of physical and intellectual capabilities of children, ensuring protection from infectious and non-infectious diseases. At present, the following negative trends are observed in the health of children in all age categories: – high morbidity rates; – an increase in the prevalence of chronic pathology; – deterioration of the main qualitative indicators of children’s health. The present thematic issue of Kuban Scientific Medical Bulletin aims to address the above challenges by exploring the following questions: – organization and improvement of medical care for children; – nutrition of healthy and sick children; – vaccine prophylaxis; – modern principles of diagnostics and treatment of pediatric diseases; – theoretical and practical aspects of pediatrics development; – preservation of child health in the context of multicomponent medical care.
